The Dept of Education is seeking a senior staff member to lead the Department of Education's Risk Management Service, Grants Policy and Procedures Team (GPPT). A description of the Risk Management service can be found at:

The GPPT Leader is charged with planning and directing all aspects of grants policies and procedures for the Department of Education and for designing innovative ways to reengineer and streamline the Department's grants administration. This position provides a unique and exciting opportunity for a creative, innovative professional to have a major impact on the quality of the Department's grant administration.
In this role, you will work with senior management across the Department and the federal government to support the Risk Management Service's objective to promote excellent stewardship and accountability for the $70 billion of grant funds that the agency awards each year. As team leader and supervisor of the GPPT, you will develop, implement and oversee grants policies and procedures designed to improve the Department's grants administration, ensure compliance with law and regulation, and support government-wide e-grants and streamlining initiatives. You will also be a member of the Risk Management Service leadership team, contributing to the development and implementation of Enterprise Risk Management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public policy,
analysis, expert knowledge of the laws and regulations governing grant making, and experience in the development, implementation,
interpretation, and evaluation of grants policy and procedures for a
federal agency.
The position is a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst,
